The 2007 Las Vegas Bowl had an exciting game featuring a rematch between the UCLA and the Mountain West Champion BYU. The fans eagerly filled-up the Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada to witness their favorite teams compete and outwit each other.
The Las Vegas Bowl 2007 season was an action-packed game. The first quarter was UCLA’s score after the BYU quarterback Max Hall made a fumble but Austin Cole of BYU countered with a touchdown. BYU gained a lead, 17-6 with another touchdown catch by Michael Reed. A 19-second fumble by the BYU during the first half allowed a major shift for UCLA to head away with 17-13. UCLA followed up this upper hand with a 50-yard field goal cutting the deficit to 17-16 and took over their own two yard line with two minutes of the time left. Having been able to drive down to the BYU 13-yard line with 3 minutes left, they attempted to make a run for the 28-yard field goal but was blocked by BYU defensive tackle Eathyn Manumaleuna. The season was the second win for BYU out of three competitions. Austin Cole earned the MVP title for the 2007 season.
The 2008 Las Vegas Bowl will feature a matchup between MWC champion and the Pac-10 on December 20, 2008. The event invites all fans to witness another action-packed game for the season.
